Administrative Services Overview
The Administrative Services Division is the backbone of the Bar Harbor and Mount Desert Police Departments, providing essential support services that enable our officers to serve the community effectively and efficiently.
Our Core Functions
Office Support & Communications
Managing daily administrative operations, handling correspondence, maintaining filing systems, and supporting department communications.
Records & Information Management
Maintaining comprehensive department records, processing documentation for new hires, handling license applications, and managing public records requests.
Training & Certification Coordination
Enforcing POST rules and regulations, maintaining training certification records, scheduling department training, and tracking continuing education requirements.
Fiscal Management & Procurement
Handling department purchasing, managing contracts and agreements, monitoring budget expenditures, and processing financial documentation.
